Project Details
Project Background
The client, an international flame retardent chemicals manufacturer commissioned Enertec in 2003, to undertake a survey of the HVAC plant at their Trafford Park facility.
A full survey and report was produced and Servistec / Enertec were commissioned to provide an ongoing annual maintenance service and to undertake annual insurance preparations on steam systems throughout the site.
Servistec / Enertec, work with the client to minimise breakdowns by providing a proactive, condition based, maintenance service. Much of the plant was installed in the early 1950’s and is still providing reliable heating, ventilation and cooling to the site.
A major condensate management project has been ongoing for the past 5 years and considerable savings have been realised due to effective recovery of the steam condensate. Servistec / Enertec provide ongoing monitoring of all systems and produce monthly reports to enable the client to target and prepare future budgets.
The Systems
Within the clients facility there are administrative, laboratory, medical and production buildings. Each is served from the main 17 bar steam system which is reduced in pressure to 2.3 bar for heating and laboratory purposes.
In addition many of the buildings have air conditioning systems and extensive ducted ventilation systems.
The ongoing partnership between the client and our company is resulting in major energy and utility savings and minimal maintenance expenditure, even though the plant is over 50 years old.
